Calgary Herald: Project approved for funding through the City of Calgary's Downtown Development Incentive Program

Riddell Kurczaba is pleased to formally announce that one of our projects – The Lofts – was recently approved for funding by the City of Calgary's Downton Development Incentive Program!

The program aims to revitalize the downtown core by attracting new businesses and residents, enhancing the overall quality of life, and stimulating economic growth, with the goal of making downtown Calgary a more vibrant and attractive place to live, work, and do business, while also promoting sustainable development and economic growth.

The Lofts is located at the corner of 4th Avenue and 7th Street Southwest, and is part of the office to residential conversion strategy. The project borders the neighborhood of Eau Claire - and by extension the Bow River and surrounding parks - making it primely suited for residential use.

The project includes the conversion of the existing office space into 56 residential suites, as well as a public amenity space including a café on the main level, and building amenities for the residence such as a fitness space and events room on the second level.
