traditional bistro with a modern twist

mission restaurant, three hills, alberta

Holistically designed, inside and out, the Mission Restaurant was an ambitious project for a rural locale. Seating 200 guests in a 6,720 sq. ft. dining room, RK's challenge was to create a metropolitan dining experience in a rural setting. This was achieved through the creation of three separate spaces – traditional, bistro, and modern – designed to appeal to the diverse clientele: local residents, college students, oil-patch workers, and visiting families and friends. The Mission Restaurant won First Prize in a competition put on by the Bruhan Gallery for its unique use of antiques.
